Minecraft: How to Hatch a Dragon Egg (From The End World)
The Ender Dragon is considered a Final Boss in The End World. Once this Ender Dragon is defeated, it will lay a Large Dragon Egg. Before making any rapid decisions, you should learn about the Dragon Egg!
What is a Dragon used Egg for?
There are 2 Main Uses of the Ender Dragon’s Egg.
First, you can use the Dragon Egg to respawn another Ender Dragon. You’ll once again be able to fight this boss.
Second, you can use the Dragon Egg as decoration. The Dragon Egg looks pretty cool, so I’d consider this option!
Other than that, there are not many uses of a Dragon Egg as you may think.
How to pick up the Dragon Egg after defeating the Ender Dragon
If you click on a Dragon Egg, it just teleports you to a random place. Since clicking on the Egg won’t pick it up, this raises the question on how would it be possible to obtain a Dragon Egg? There are several techniques you can use to collect a Dragon Egg without having to click on the egg itself.
The first way to collect a Dragon Egg requires the use of a Piston.
Place a Piston adjacent to the Dragon Egg and then simply Activate the Piston. Once the Piston is activated, the Dragon Egg will be collectable.
The second technique is also quite easy to do. To collect a Dragon Egg, you can also dig a couple blocks down under the Dragon Egg and place a Torch. Then, break the blocks separating the torch from the dragon egg.
There are more ways to obtain a Dragon Egg but they are more complicated and not worth your time.
Hatching/Spawning the Minecraft Egg
If you decide you want to Respawn The Ender Dragon, here’s what you’ll need to do…
The materials you’ll need are 4 End Crystals & A Dragon Egg.
To craft an End Crystal you’ll need 7 Glass, 1 Ghast Tear, & 1 Eye of Ender per End Crystal.
Once, you have got all your materials the next step is to place your Dragon Egg on the Pillar of the Portal at the Central Island (The Island you Spawn At). This is also the place you’ve fought the Ender Dragon first.
Then Place 4 End Crystals around the Dragon Egg. Once All the End Crystals are placed the Ender Dragon will respawn again.
